The Exorcism: A Horror Film That Fizzles Out

I walked into The Exorcism with high expectations, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The acting was superb, with Russell Crowe delivering a standout performance. However, the pacing felt off, and the build-up didn’t quite pay off. It’s a shame, because the storyline had a lot of potential.

As a fan of horror movies, I was excited to see Crowe take on a role in this genre. He’s been doing a lot of these types of roles lately, and I have to admit that it was hard not to think of his role in The Pope’s Exorcist while watching this film. Maybe that’s what threw me off, but I think it’s also because the movie just didn’t quite come together.

The Exorcism is still worth a watch, especially if you’re a fan of the horror genre. The storyline is intriguing, and there are some tense moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat. However, I’d recommend waiting until it streams.

One thing that did stand out to me was the number of facial cues that were lost in translation. It’s something that happens a lot in this movie, and it’s a shame because it takes away from the overall impact of the scenes.

Overall, I’d give The Exorcism a C grade. It’s not a bad movie by any means, but it’s not a great one either. If you’re a fan of horror movies, you might want to check it out, but I wouldn’t rush to see it.
